Math 42 App Reviews

This is a good app to use as a resource in the classroom. One can type an equation/function into the app and it will spit out the answer as well as different options to break the problem down. It is however bad in the sense that it gives the student the answer the work that goes with it. So if the student knew of this app, they could easily copy the answer down. The benefits of this app are that the student can walk through the problem step by step, but also it is a free option to graph functions because of the graphing capabilities in the app. Students could compare their work with the work shown on the app to gain a better understanding. But there is a fine line between learning from comparing your work and just copying the correct answer. Overall, appreciate what this has to offer, but wouldnt use it in the classroom since it gives the students the answer.

The app is simply amazing. And free. Could not have asked for a better app. The interface is simplistic and appealing, the functionality too is very good. I wish they would improve the keypad.

Pros: - All the symbols my student needs for basic Algebra are on one keyboard - no need to toggle among different keyboards for ex. Letters, symbols, etc. - Custom problems can be entered, so my student can work on his assigned problems rather than pre-programmed problems. - My student cant enter text while viewing the solutions, so even if he "gets the answers" he has to remember the steps and input them himself. Requests: - Allow my student to export multiple problems at once, so he doesnt have to turn in his homework one problem at a time. - Allow the solution/calculation supports to be turned off for assessment purposes.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this app it not only gives you the right answer, but also shows you how to do the problem. It is really helpful for math homework. And on top of all that its FREE, but definitely worth money.

You honestly need a commentary right next to the equation and not in some other box

The sin, cos, and tan are wrong, leading me to bad test scores, this is some serious BS and must be edited immediately and corrected to the widely accepted SIN, COS, and TAN values.

Highly recommended however fix sin cosin and tangent

Very helpful resource similar to WolframAlpha. Works well. I use the tests and trainings features to refresh what I learned in school.

I use this app on my iPad. Its a good application. It can handle simple equations but have major problems in plotting tool that needs a lot of attention. The app crushes out often when plotting. The plot of sin(x) or similar curves have major problems.

I am a teacher but I am not a math teacher. So I use the app when helping some of my students with their home work. We work though a few using the app. After they see the problem broken down in steps by the calculator.. The student gains the knowledge to finish the rest of the problems on their own

I think math 42 is a good application,but when I test my math on it, there is just a little mistake like there have two correct answer for example the first answer: 2X+7 and the second answer: -(-2X-7) then I dont know which is the right answer. Luckily, I chose the right answer. I hope the next version they will fix this tiny mistake.that is all my word. Anyway thank you math 24
